Aren't we the Big Society?
posted by lynn powell on Tue 10th Aug 2010David Cameron's vision for the big society is about empowering local communities. This should be great news for pinpoint and its supporters as this is exactly what we are about, and have been trying to promote for the past 2 years. But is it?
As the big society game gets played out in the media, much recent news is about cuts in funding and how this is having a direct impact on small community organisations as council's make their cutback decisions.
Goodbye 2010

And as we approach the end of 2010, the change of government, Comprehensive Spending Review and proposed budget cuts have left many organisations, services, staff and families uncertain of what 2011 will bring.
pinpoint has grown considerably during the past year and we were able to present a positive report at our 2010 annual meeting.
