Case studies and research projects
We are often asked if the parents, carers and families that we support would be happy to share their experiences with researchers and other organisations, to help other people. In this section we will include details of current research projects and requests for case studies. If you would like to discuss this with a member of the pinpoint team, please e-mail us.
Past research - Action for Children
Action for Children works with disabled children, young people and their families to provide specialist help and support. Their disability servicesstart from the early years and extend through to young people's transition into adulthood, including residential and short break care, helping families to deal with challenging behaviour, and providing specialist education and leisure opportunities.
In 2011 Action for children conducted a range of research around individualised budgets to help them develop their services. They spoke to families about their experiences, including those who are currently use direct payments or individualised budgets and those who have not used direct payments or individualised budgets before.
