Further information
NHS Cambridgeshire, Cambridgeshire County Council, district councils and other organisations in Cambridgeshire are looking at how ill health can be prevented and good health promoted amongst working age people.
They have asked Cambridgeshire ACRE to run a series of focus groups for them inviting local people to come along and give their views on these subjects so they can be taken into account by those people making decisions about the way health and social care services are planned and delivered. This is the first time that these groups have attempted to gain community views from local people so they can be fed into the decision-making process.
The Focus Groups
Four focus groups will be held and we are looking for ten different volunteers to attend each focus group. Each focus group will last approximately one hour. The groups will be run by a facilitator whose role is to ask questions and to record the views of those attending. Light refreshments will be provided and the focus groups will have an informal feel.
Focus Group Attendees
If you have a view on how ill health might be prevented or on what professionals could do to better promote good health then we’d like you to be involved. Your gender, age and ethnic background don’t matter to us. Your willingness to express your opinion in a small group is what’s important to us.
