At the next Parent Support Group Meeting we will be joined by representatives from the 'Adult Placement Scheme' that has been running successfully within the Learning Disability Service for a number of years in Huntingdon. Adult Placement offers people an alternative and highly flexible form of support which is provided by individuals or families in the local community. This alternative enables the person to live an ordinary life and share in the life and activities of the Adult Placement Carer (AP Carer). They would like to expand this service into the Cambridge area -possibly working with individuals on the autistic spectrum.
