Further information
These informal meetings are for parents and carers of children and young people with additional needs or a disability and run in each of the 5 Cambridgeshire districts: Cambridge City; East Cambs; Fenland; Hunts; and South Cambs. They are facilitated by a pinpoint representative.
The meetings are an opportunity for parents and carers to meet others in a similar situation and to share experiences and information. We also invite managers of services and organisations to join us to talk about key issues for families.
This term's topic is about the end of the additional Aiming High for Disabled Children funding provided under the Labour government to Local Authorities and the impact of this, and other government spending cuts, on services for families of disabled children in Cambridgeshire. They will also be an opportunity to review the new short break activities and other support for families of disabled children which has been created with Aiming High funding.
Parents and carers are welcome to attend all or part of the meeting.
More information on speakers will be added soon. To book a place, email Emily
