Further information
Talk about Transitions 2 is the second workshop being run by the Cambridgeshire County Council Transitions Team for parents and carers of young disabled people. Representatives from the Transitions Team, Connexions Service and Cambridge, Huntingdon and Peterborough Regional Colleges will be present to answer your questions, and respond to issues parents and carers raised at the first workshop held in November 2009.
There are two workshops: a daytime workshop from 12.30pm - 3pm and an evening workshop from 6.30pm - 9pm, and an open session from 3pm - 6.30pm. You need to book a place if you want to attend one of the workshops, but anyone can come along during the open session. The workshop is being held in the SmartLIFE Centre at Cambridge Regional College, which is accessible by car and public transport. For more information on the venue and directions visit the website.
Please note: the evening workshop has been cancelled due to low numbers however you can still book for the afternoon session, and the open drop-in has been extended until 7.30pm to allow working parents to attend.
Parents and carers who attended the last workshop said they found it really useful to meet service representatives face-to-face, and to get detailed information on the support available for young disabled people and their families.
