This is a workshop for parents and carers who might be interested in becoming a parent representative. It is for parents of children with additional needs or a disability because there is funding in Cambridgeshire to support these parents to become representatives, but other parents are welcome to attend.
We will talk about:
- the role of the parent representative - the do's and don'ts
- what we mean by parent participation
- how to manage tricky situations
- who's who in Cambridgeshire - how are decisions made and who by
- the support parent representatives need - good practice
This workshop is an induction course for parents wanting to become a pinpoint parent representative.
