Get involved as an individual parent

There are lots of ways you can get involved:

join our email network
join our postal network - phone 0751 741 9761 and give us your address and postcode
come to one of our network meetings for parents of disabled children and young people
phone or text us on 0751 741 9761 and tell us about your issues and concerns
through your local support group - Contact us to see if your group is already represented or to add your group to our mailing list
ask your parent support worker to help you get your voice heard - tell them about pinpoint
visit the pinpoint website regularly to take part in our consultations and on-line surveys
invite us to come to events where you live to meet other parents
help promote pinpoint by taking copies of our leaflets and flyers to your local school, GP/Health Centre, library and other places where you know parents will see them
tell us what information you think should be on our website
become a parent representative
be a pinpoint volunteer

Examples of how parents have been involved through pinpoint

Around 1300 parents took part in Cambridgeshire's Parent support strategy consultation (July 2008)
Parents of disabled children helped plan and run the pinpoint Parent Zone at Mayhem and over 40 contributed to a Transitions Timeline (August 2009)
For the first time, parent representatives were involved in commissioning short break services for Cambridgeshire County Council (October 2009)
A group of around 7 pinpoint parents were involved in the Ofsted safeguarding and looked after children inspection (October 2009)
