Parenting Project Board

The Parenting Project Board (PPB) is responsible for parenting support. The Project Manager is Sarah Ferguson, who is also Parenting Commissioner and Area Manager (Locality and Partnerships) for Cambridge City and South Cambs.

pinpoint is represented on the PPB. The parent representative is Lynn Powell. pinpoint is also one of two Voluntary and Community Sector representatives. The other is Romsey Mill.

The PPS is responsible for the Parent support strategy and the Parental involvement strategy. pinpoint was involved in writing both of these.

pinpoint has just been commissioned to deliver parts of the Parental involvement strategy action plan. This includes:

  • setting up a county-wide parent advisory group
  • setting up a working group to look at improving the involvement of parents in, and through, schools
  • identifying good practice on parent participation around the county

We are looking at effective ways of reporting to parents on the work of this Board since there is a lot of paperwork. We are hoping that these might be added to a public website so that we can provide you with links if you want to read more.
