Monday 16 January is officially the most depressing day of the year. pinpoint has developed a well-being programme to help parents to look after themselves and their mental health and our new well-being website pages will be launched very soon. The website will provide tips and advice on well-being including:
- Connect - Making links with other people is vital to mental health. Giving time to both strengthen and broaden social networks is important for well being.
- Be active - Regular physical exercise is associated with a greater sense of well-being and lower rates of depression and anxiety across all age groups.
- Keep learning - Adult learning has been linked with positive effects on well-being and resilience. It increases self esteem, a sense of hope and social integration.
