East Cambs parent carer support network

A group of parents and carers attending the new Crossroads Ely parent carer support group (which pinpoint co-facilitate) suggested setting up a way for parents and carers to share information that will support other parents and carers, linked to the pinpoint website.

The group felt parents had a wealth of experience to share with each other, and that it was time to stop reinventing the wheel and reduce the isolation some parent carers feel by sharing information face-to-face through the group, and via the internet. We are also looking at the possibility of training parents to act as peer advocates.
