Ely parent carer support network

We are a group of parents and carers who want to share our experience as parents of children and young people with additional needs with others.

As parents we get tired of 'fighting the system', and we want to share what we have learned - and learn from other parents - so that we are not wasting valuable energy all trying to find answers to the same questions.

Our aim is to help make sure parents are better informed of their rights and responsibilities, and of all the services available to them so they can make well-informed choices about the best options for them and their family. And not miss out on services they may be entitled to.

We meet in Ely and attend the pinpoint East Cambridgeshire district network meetings and Crossroads parent carer support group (co-facilitated by pinpoint), which both meet in the Cathedral Centre (see the forthcoming events page for information on future meetings). We also want to set up an online network linked to the pinpoint website where we could share information through the internet with parents and carers who can't attend meetings.
