Under 5’s Starting School – How to help our child get ready

It can be pretty daunting when our little ones are about to start school. It is a whole new world and can be an anxious time for our children and for us too. What can we do to help our child be ready and help make the experience and happy and positive one for us all?

Chris Barton from the Early Years Team is with us to share her knowledge, experience and practical tips on how to help our child prepare for one of their most important steps in childhood.

Pinpoint provide help and information to parents and carers of children and young people aged 0-25 with additional needs and disabilities in Cambridgeshire.

No formal diagnosis is required to access support from Pinpoint – a child may be on a waiting list, accessing services, had a referral turned down, or just be struggling.

We offer signposting and events for all things SEND and are the Parent Carer Forum for Cambridgeshire. Pinpoint also give parent carers opportunities to have a say and get involved in improving local services.

You will be sent an email containing the Zoom link to access the session 2 days before, 2 hours before and at the start of the session. Please do check your junk mail and spam folders as these emails sometimes end up there!

Be comfortable at Pinpoint sessions – You can keep your camera off and stay on mute and simply join us and other parent carers who “get it” from your sofa 😊
