Paralympian Jonnie Peacock will switch on the Christmas lights in Cambridge Market Square on Sunday, November 18.
Jonnie – who was born and raised in the county – made his name at the 2012 London Paralympics when he won the 100m. And went on to more success at the Rio Paralympics in 2016.
Last year he became the first amputee Paralympian to compete on BBC hit show Strictly Come Dancing.
The Cambridge switch-on event will feature a Christmas entertainment from local schools, performing arts groups, choirs. It runs 12 noon to 4.30pm, with the lights switched on by Jonnie, accompanied by Cambridge mayor Nigel Gawthrope, at 5pm.
