Preparing for Adulthood. Mental Capacity Explained. Tuesday, 2nd July 12-1.30pm

We want our SEND child to become a happy and independent young person but will they be able to manage the adult world? Are they safe being responsible for health or money for example? Legally, can we stay involved to support them with GP visits etc?

James Codling is back with us to explain the legal side and how we can still remain involved and protect our child when they need us, even when they are adults.

Pinpoint provide help and information to parents and carers of children and young people aged 0-25 with additional needs and disabilities in Cambridgeshire.

No formal diagnosis is required to access support from Pinpoint – a child may be on a waiting list, accessing services, had a referral turned down, or just be struggling.

We offer signposting and events for all things SEND and are the Parent Carer Forum for Cambridgeshire. Pinpoint also give parent carers opportunities to have a say and get involved in improving local services.

You will be sent an email containing the Zoom link to access the session 2 days before, 2 hours before and at the start of the session. Please do check your junk mail and spam folders as these emails sometimes end up there!

Be comfortable at Pinpoint sessions – You can keep your camera off and stay on mute and simply join us and other parent carers who “get it” from your sofa 😊
