Benefits – Moving from DLA to PIP

So much changes as our child becomes a young person and that includes Benefits. Many parents and carers have told us how worried they are about this and how money will be managed when their child turns 16years.

Anjela Jones, benefits advisor is with us to talk through the the transfer from DLA to PIP. She will be looking at the differences between the two benefits,  how PIP is assessed, how to prepare for the change over and what information to send with the form.

Pinpoint provide help and information to parents and carers of children and young people aged 0-25 with additional needs and disabilities in Cambridgeshire.

No formal diagnosis is required to access support from Pinpoint – a child may be on a waiting list, accessing services, had a referral turned down, or just be struggling.

We offer signposting and events for all things SEND and are the Parent Carer Forum for Cambridgeshire. Pinpoint also give parent carers opportunities to have a say and get involved in improving local services.

You will be sent an email containing the Zoom link to access the session 2 days before, 2 hours before and at the start of the session. Please do check your junk mail and spam folders as these emails sometimes end up there!

Be comfortable at Pinpoint sessions – You can keep your camera off and stay on mute and simply join us and other parent carers who “get it” from your sofa 😊
