Then take a look at Cambridge-based arts centre and charity Rowan Humberstone, where artists work with people with learning disabilities in their choice of woodwork, ceramics, printmaking, textiles, mixed media and the performing arts.

As well as their own creative projects, students work on private commissions, exhibit their artwork and can take part in music and drama.

Open 9am-3pm, 50 weeks of the year, Rowan offers free taster sessions and then half day or full day student places costing £40.40 for a full day / £30.30 for a morning or an afternoon session.
