A new booklet about the county council’s Additional Needs Team has been published.
The team works with young people aged 14-25 who have/or had a Statement/EHCP and attend (or have attended) specialist provision.
Young people are often referred by their school or college. But parent carers can contact the team direct and young people can also self-refer.
The team provides early targeted support to ensure young people make a smooth transition when moving from school to Further Education, Employment or Training. They also work with young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET). And provide information, advice and guidance on education, training, employment and other appropriate options for young people with special educational needs and disabilities and their families.
